This is page 1 of the print version of Batman Adventures #6, published in 1993. I did issues 4-6 of the title; this was my favorite, as it was an homage to Alfred Hitchcock, my favorite director at the time. Hitchcock’s influence is the composition: I purposefully had the letters crop/hide the bystander’s faces while having the camera horizon-line (and perspective lines) centered on Bruce Wayne, the “audience identification” character of the story.
