This is blog #33 of my on-going series sharing pages from the scrap book of Minnie Holsinger, which she compiled in the 30s and 40s while she and Grandfather Charlie Holsinger were scrimping and saving to buy a farm.
More cuteness from Henry Hintermeister, from Country Gentleman Magazine in the 1930’s. I’m starting to go into sugar-shock here. Interesting paint-handling on the kids, almost Leyendecker-esque. By which I mean, the color shapes are really solid, almost geometric. And the backlighting makes everything pop (again like Leyendecker).
