Herein I present pages 30 through 42 to Act One of the storyboard to the Batman Animated series episode #44, entitled “Heart of Steel Part Two”. This episode was directed by Kevin Altieri. I am posting this storyboard in serialized fashion. Mike Goguen storyboarded this section.
More exposition, setting up Acts Two and Three. In this section, it is revealed that Karl Rossum is not a pawn of Hardac (or a Robo-Rossum) though this possibility was heavily implied in Part One.
In scenes A53 through A55, Hardac zaps Rossum, subduing him. Mike plays this out much longer than I did in “Heart of Steel, Part One”, when Randa zapped Gordon and Alfred; whereas I went for droll humor, Mike emphasizes the drama/horrific nature of the violent act.
