This is Day 21 of my serialized blog about the Rainblo-Batman Custom Comic entitled “Batman: Born on the Fourth of July”, which I pencilled in the spring of 1994. Each day’s post will include the plot outline, the finished script (when I have it), my roughs, and my pencils. I can’t include images of the pages-as-published as I didn’t receive and have never seen them . If anyone reading this has a copy of the published work, please contact me. If you give or sell me a copy, or send me scans of the published or finished artwork, I will incorporate them into future blog posts.

23) Back on Ellis, kids in circle type away. Kid calls out “Eureka!”
24) Shot on big monitor- Bobby Jones appears on split screen with his home town
25) Batman smacks fist into palm. “Great! Now what? —And only 45 minutes left to go.”
26) Kid in contact with Liberty Island pipes up- “Hey- I’m getting a message.”
27) CU on laptop screen. “Get over here fast! The main detonator is on top of the cr—“
28) Kids look at screen “He stopped. Wow- he musta got caught” as Batman strides away “I better get over there fast!”
29) 3 kids re being restrained by thugs. Riddler sez “Ooh! I hate Kids. Always complicating things! Catwoman “ Since you kids are so adventurous, maybe you’d like to be in the heart of the action.”
