The summer prior to winning the assignment of
penciling and inking “The Mark” in late 1992, I had penciled “The Batman
Adventures” for DC Comics.
The Batman gig was relatively easy; I was well
versed in drawing that style since I had been doing storyboards, incidental
character designs and layouts on the animated series off which the comic book
was based since it started production in January 1991. I had assumed this new
assignment would be no more difficult, once I got up to speed on the inks. I
was soon disabused of this misconception.
This is page #8 from Dark Horse Comics #14,
“The Mark: Taking Back the Streets”, written by Mike Barr, drawn by Brad Rader,
published in November, 1993.
