Self portraits

A friend requested a sketch of myself, as in self-portrait. I did the first in pen and ink, and thought it sucked egregiously. I tried again, a day later, using ballpoint pen. This is what I mostly use to sketch with these days; I'm thinking about trying to develop a style around it. I like the results somewhat better.
